Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this weeks Operation Write Home sketch challenge and a wonderful sketch it is! I do hope you take a look and decide to participate. I used a pre coloured image from an older Doodle Pantry stamp set called 'Peaches and Huckleberries Col'. I love peaches, they are my absolute favourite fruit! It seems to me that they are less fuzzy than they used to be and not quite as juicy. This could just be all in my head or maybe in my older taste buds:O) The sentiment is from the same stamp set. This stamp set contains coloured images, outlines ,digital papers and sentiments. The die cuts used to frame the peaches and the sentiment are Spellbinders Nestabilities. I used a Memory Box die cut "Honeysuckle Vine for the vertical strip on the left.. The background was embossed with embossing folders for texture and interest .
Won a Top # placement for this card from Creative Corner challenges!

Wow! this is gorgeous Glenda… it's a fab colour combo and layout…. I love the embossing and you have coloured the peaches to perfection! I know what you mean about the taste of peaches… they used to taste so much nicer when I was a girl… think they have genetically modified them nowadays to get them bigger but unfortunately the flavour has been lost!!! it's the same with a lot of other fruits and veg too!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week!
Big hugs
Sue xx
Wonderful! Love your layering! Thank you for sharing with us at Card Crafter's Circle!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and peaches are my favorite fruit. We have orchards just a few miles from my house. I've been making fresh peach smoothies all during the week along with putting on my cereal and just eating and letting the juice drip down my arm. I'm a peach nut and pray every April that we don't have a frost to kill the buds....a freeze is ok, but not a frost.
ReplyDeletewonderful make
