Ice Cream Cutie

I adore Kenny K stamps and here  is one called 'TROUBLEMAKER'. This is soooo funny,  I was colouring her hair and thinking boy she has a different even, may I say, weird hairdo, but continued merrily along making the best of it. Finished  the card and them went and looked at  Kenny K's site to see what they had in their gallery. Shocked I was ,yes shocked to find that the weird hairdo was in fact a hoodie, a hoodie.   Here I had spent all that time trying to add highlights  to a freaking hoodie. I'm still trying to stop the giggles every time I look at her. I kill myself at times........ BUT I had an accomplice  who also thought it was hair....could that be my stamping buddy Dawn? Was good for a hilarious finish to a great Friday stamp n' play:).

Stamp: Troublemaker from Kenny Kdownloads
Medium: Prismacolor markers

DT Card for Lexi's Creations Challenge #40 - Spots and/or Stripes

Lexi's Creations Challenge #40 The challenge this fortnight is to create a project  that contains  "spots and/or stripes'.   Take a quick trip over to  Lexi's site , you might want to join the fun!

I choose  one of Lexi's wonderful images called 'Mushroom Ladybug', decided purple or shades thereof  was my colour of choice and was off to make a purple mushroom card..  I added   green to give  it some  humph and  a little butterfly! For the accent flower, I choose a green  one and added some little flourishes for leaves . I cut out an additional ladybug and placed it ontop of the stamped  image to make it dimensional,  then added  crystal effects to the ladybug (hard to detect it from the photo). I also made the little yellow flower dimensional .  Two of the longer leaves behind the mushroom had their tops cut off when the image was die cut, so  added  two leaves to overlap the border.

Card Details:
Medium: Prismacolor markers
Dies Used: Spellbinders Nestabilities  label five, deckled rectangles (large and small),standard circles and flourish accent ; Marianne Design Creatables frame swirl
Punch: Martha Stewart

To New Beginnings

I've been busy readjusting my life and cleaning up downstairs as my son has moved out:0(   I am happy for him of course and he drops by  most mornings for coffee,....but my family room has echos in it, it is so empty and not only from the furniture he took, but from the missing voices. The family room was filled for years first with  young boys, then teenagers and for the last few years with young men and their ladies.    I shall miss them all, those young happy souls who spent so much time with us, but life moves on and now my son shall start on his road to  independence . I wish both him and his lovely Katie all the very best .
