Welcome to 2020's third Challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and the challenge is Love is All You Need. As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece or some home decor.

A Grandson & wife are expecting twin daughters in March and I decided to start making some cards in advance in order to give them down the road.  All so exciting. I made a card way back when using this same Doodle Pantry image  (long retired) (see here), so I now have two.

I decided to use a Saturated Canary image  for this fortnights challenge.  She is such a   sweetie and was a freebie way back when.  The larger hearts are die cuts  from Cuttlebug's  Heart and Stamps die. The smaller hearts are from a hand punch. The image was coloured with Prismacolor Markers

Bug Kitty Block - Valentine

Here I am with another 2017 Valentine and I am  again using a Bugaboo Stamp image, this one  titled BugKittyBlocks.. I made the heart with the paw print dimensional by printing the image twice and colouring , then cutting the heart out and using pop ups placing it over the fully coloured image. I coloured the kitty with Copics and the heart and  background with Prisma Color Markers. The heart banner is from La - La Land.  It is hard to tell by the photo but I used a new embossing folder called Hexagons Dynamic which is available from Stampin' Up.This one will go to a step great grandchild.

Clyde Valentine

It is Stella Says Sketch time at the Catch the Bug  blog site. Great sketch, I love it! I made a Valentine card for one of my Grand nephews using said sketch and I really quite like it. Clyde is such an adorable image and I picked him for my image. the name of the digital stamp is 'Clyde - Be Mine and can be found here.  His  muzzle/nose (?) and the heart he is holding were made dimensional using pop ups. I used prismacolor Markers to colour him, The scalloped border at the bottom of the card is from Stampin' Up. The hearts are punch outs from the die 'Heart Banner'  from La la Land Crafts. The little lone banner (right hand side - used in place of button) is from the same set. Ribbon from stash.

Valentine Love You

I  love this fold and when I recently saw a card   made with  it ,my interest was stirred. See here for my inspiration; it is by Crafty-Stamper  and it's a beauty!  The stamp on my card is from 'Lacy Sunshine' and is called 'Rory-Love-Letters' .

I used Stampin'Up cardstock (Marina Mist, Whisper White, Chocoalte Chip) and a pink cardstock from Michaels. The designer paper is from DCWV 'the Four Seasons stack'. The image was coloured with Prismaclor Markers and Copics . The Copics was for the flesh tones (E13,E00,E000,E02). The blue and pink heart  is a 'Hearts with Wings' sticker by Jolee's By You.  The brown heart is from Cuttlebug's  'Hearts and Stamps' die. I also used Spellbinders 'deckled  rectangles ' die for the sentiment frame.The sentiment is an  'I Love You' rubber stamp  by Craft Smart, I just didn't stamp the ' I'  and  I rearranged the 'love you' placement. I will be entering this card into the following Challenges. The first being the Lacy Sunshine Challenge #26    Add a Sentiment.

Toucans of Love

I adore these birds, I looked Toucans  up on Google and oh the glorious colours they display, nature at it's finest. You really cannot go wrong when colouring them as they come in all shades just keep it bright! These two are from Doodle Pantry's digital stamp set 'Toucans of Love'.
The heads were made dimensional by double printing and colouring the image heads twice, cutting one  out and popping it up over the other  with dimensional tape. The background was heat embossed!

Love is Sweet Valentine

Time to be posting some more of my Valentines for 2014, this  one is for a  great granddaughter! I used a Meljens Design    'Love is Sweet' image, isn't it a darling! I coloured the image using a mixture of Prismacolor Markers and Copics. The flowers  are from  Cherry Lynn Designs 'Sweet Williams' die strip and the leaves   from Spellbinders  die 'Foliage'. The flower centers and the small white hearts are brads bought at Michaels. I used the Spellbinders 'Inverted Circles' die for the circle frame and the hanging heart is from Memory Box, The card stock is Stampin' Up's and I used  a  cover it all background stamp by Impressive Obsessions  called 'Stitches' to add texture and interest . It was heat embossed to give some more impact..  Hope you like:O)!

Valentine Lamb

I fell in love with this image and couldn't wait to use it, I thought it would make a great card for one of my great niece's. The image is from the Doodle Pantry digital stamp set "Loving Critters'. This stamp set was previously sold by CDS and is a Laurie Wilson creation! I used Spellbinders for the die cut image frames and a Memory Box die Fabulous Phlox  for the leaves (barely visible under the flower). The background was heat embossed and the card stock is  Stampin' Ups chocolate  chip, rose red and pink pirouette, and the designer paper is from DCWV The Glitter Stack. The ribbon came from my stamping buddy Dawn's stash and the flower and heart pearls were from mine!  The image is I used is  pre coloured but the stamp set comes with both coloured  and non coloured images,sentiments and digital paper!

Cuddly Bear Valentine

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Sketch Saturday  challenge starting Feb. 2, 2013.    I used a Doodle Pantry  digital stamp set  called ' Cuddly Bear'!  Totally adorable! This is a older image from  Doodle Pantry but a favourite of mine.  The heart pin was a freebie from  Beyond the Fringe. I added the heart pin to the image by merging the two images together in PaintNet.
