FTH March -2017 Stamp of the Month Challenge

FTH Digital Stamp of the Month Challenge March,  2017, using the image   'Lucky Lil Birdie'. So darn cute, I wasn't sure what occasion I wanted to celebrate with this image so  I just picked Good Luck and inside I will  have a message wishing someone  good luck on whatever endeavour they are about to  set forth on. At least that is the plan!.
I used the sketch from  March's Challenge at the 'The Sketch File' for my layout  and coloured the image with PrismaColor markers,  The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up's  set  'So happy For You'.

Have a good day!

Outlawz Progressive Challenge - March 2017

Outlawz Progressive Challenge - March 2017The image this month  is from  'Beccy's Place' titled 'Spring Window'.  It comes with  both outline and  coloured images . I chose the coloured image and added additional color to some of the bricks  and the window flowers to get a bit more darker shade.  The brick background was dry embossed  and I added some punched flowers to the lower left hand corner of the image . The design was completed with a  Freebie  Clementine sentiment and a little punched out butterfly .

Spring has Sprung

Crafty Card Makers Challenge #185 Spring into Spring
Peggy is hosting the challenge today, and the theme is Spring into Spring. With the Spring Equinox having just occurred   earlier this month we are hopefully springing back into life with new births, and buds and flowers appearing on the trees and shrubs and so we would love to see your Spring themed cards. These can include New Birth as well as flora and fauna.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it has a lovely Spring theme.

Please remember the 15 total challenge rule!

Sounds like fun  doesn't it. I choose new birth and as April showers  are a fairly common spring event I thought this delightful image 'Natures Protectors' (no longer available) by Sassy Cheryl was just the image I wanted to use. I decided to to brighten it up with some common colours associated with the season. The sentiment is a freebie - Clementine Spring.  Quite happy with the result.

Won Top 3  at  the 'Come and Get it' Challenge

Sisters

Sisters birthday

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #184 For a Special Woman, Girl or Mother's Day
Sally is hosting the challenge today, and the theme is For a Special Woman/Girl or Mother's Day as it's Mothering Sunday on 26th March if you are in the UK,

We would like to see your cards for that Special Female in your life. and it would be nice if you shared with us who your creation is for.

As usual anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it's for a Special Female.
Please remember our 15 total challenge rule!

Stamp: Digital two for Tuesday I made this card for my sister's birthday  as the image  reminded me of a picture I have from our childhood of us holding hands.  The dresses do not  align  as we are not quite that old (had to get that in haha). More from my mothers time I think.  My elder sister, what would I do without her, She has been such a rock, always there for me, helping me, holding my hand in time of troubles, celebrating my  special days etc.
 Special Indeed!.

The die cuts are from my stamping buddies treasure cove and I don't know the name or brands. The large ovals are Spellbinders for sure.

Birthday for a Little Guy

A birthday card for a little grand nephew  using an adorable 'Bugaboo' stamp called 'Theodore - Birthday Sign'.  I colored the image with a combination of Copics and Prisma Colour markers, added three balloons  punched out from two borrowed 'no  brand name' punches . and  that was basically it. The background was  three layers of cardstock and a punched border.   The first layer was dry embossed with  a heart folder.

My first March birthday card will shortly be in the mail. Yaay!

Won Top pick at Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge!

Birthday card for a Great Grandson who loves hockey and especially the Calgary Flames. I tried to tie some of the  Flames colours into the card. Hope he enjoys it.

I am entering this card into the Kenny K Progressive Challenge on Facebook.  You can enter with any Kenny K image and receive the 'freebie'  they are giving away for that challenge.  I choose this fun image called 'Hockey Player' , coloured him with Copics and  Prismacolor Markers then used a sketch from the 'Cheerful Sketches Challenge' blog   for the layout.
