Sammie Snowman

Sammie Snowman from Fairy Dust Crafts (FDC) is one of my  favourite snowmen and I make at least one card every year with this image.. This year it is an easel card and I have used a few new die cuts and some liquid pearls. The background is paper made with shaving cream and re-inkers;see here for tutorial!

My stamping buddy and I sat down a while ago and spent some time making background paper with  shaving cream and re-inkers. Had been quite a while since we had used the technique. We had so much fun making them and the paper smelled so nice! The  dies's are Memory Box's 'Gabriella Border' and for the fence  Impression Obsession Die 034-U. I used Prismacolor markers to colour the image and   pasted an old snowflake found in my stash to provide the means to keep the easel card upright!

Blue Santa

I created this card using the  Doodle Pantry digital stamp set called 'Jolly  St Nickolas'. The set contains outline  and pre coloured images,  plus  digital papers and  sentiments. All of this is available for less than three dollars ! How great is that:O)! I don't know what happened to my stickles (I used the diamond shaded one, and it came out yellowish; maybe they turn colour over time  sitting in the bottle. All my attempts to fix came to naught so I over layered it with Frosted Lace and it still has the yellow tinge to it. Oh well.....

Card Details:

Paper: Stampin Up whisper white, tempting turquoise

Stay Cool

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Nov 11th Craft Your Passion Challenge with a theme of Just Add Some Doodling! If you have time take a visit and give it a go, should be fun!

Card Recipe
Stamp: Doodle Pantry Digital Stamp Set  Vintage Fan '. The set contains outline  and pre coloured images,  plus  digital papers and  sentiments. This set is 'free with purchase' till Nov 24th, 2013 at the Doodle Pantry Shop.
Sentiment: Doodle Pantry  Digital Stamp Set Vintage Fan
Colour medium: Prismacolour Markers
Punch: oval punch for sentiment
Other: 4 black brads, 3 red half pearls
Techniques:doodling with a combination of  stencils and free hand

I never have doodled much so this was a real challenge and I decided to use some old templates I had with some free hand scribbling and give it a go! The lines behind the fan  should have been in front of the fan depicting the air being blown out but  I determined this too late and as I am to lazy to redo it, just think of it as the air being drawn it. Works for me LOL! I do in an odd way kind of like this attempt at doodling. Thank you Craft Your Passion for a delightful and interesting challenge.

 Enjoy!

Thank You

It's a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and this fortnight  the challenge  is 'Thanks/Thanksgiving'. I chose the theme of Thanks and created a card that I can use to thank anyone from a kind neighbor to a dear family member who has helped out. I like to have some of these on hand so I can give a quick thanks to a kind deed.

Head on over to Lexi's Creations for all the details and some awesome inspiration by my most talented teamies!

Wishing You Piles of Fun

Aaaah some new snowmen to play with, aren't these three great. I think I might have been somewhat like them in my younger days but must say those days are long gone and I have become more and more adverse to snow and all it brings  each winter.  Used to love to ski and be outside, what is about getting older that changes all that, or is it just me :O). I do know I hate driving in it..oh well just enjoy these three, they are adorable!
