ATC

Time to try my hand at something I am not well versed in, making an ATC (artist trading card). These measure 2 1/2 x 3 1/2  soare  quite small to what I am used to.  I made a double pocket card  so I had  a spot to place the ATC in , plus  some money or gift card! This will be going to one of my great nieces for a Halloween treat. The image is part of a Doodle Pantry digital stamp set called 'Pumpkin Peeps' . The set contains another pumpkin peep  and it is an adorable piggy instead of a panda.  You also receive  digital papers and  sentiments.

Doodle Pantry is the proud sponsor of this weeks challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs and the challenge is to create an ATC. Fun challenge, hope you take a visit to their blog and give it a go! Have fun!

Be Merry

I created this card for two reasons,  I want to enter the challenge at 'Beccy's Place' and  I need Christmas  cards, how is that for  incentive :O).The snowman is  a darling image from Beccy's  called 'Snowman with Ornament";   using  Paint Net I brought the image  in  as a JPEG and brought him again as a PNG, turned him  around so he was facing the first one and I had my twins! Printed the image out and coloured them slightly differently with Prismacolor Markers and added some sparkle. I  created a white on white background with red border, added some snowflakes  and I was done . Aren't they adorable.

Challenges:
4. Jingle Bells" Christmas Tic Tac Toe Snowman, glitter, dry embossing

Elf of Joy

Just getting ahead on my Christmas Cards even though I feel August is no time to be thinking of such things,   I also know it will be upon me before I know it.  :O) This cute little image is by 'Beary Wishes and I used the pre coloured version( it can also be found in outlines).  I did toy with the  face colour a bit as it came out fairly light on my printer.

Picnic Ants

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this weeks Chocolate, Coffee & Cards  challenge  and the theme is 'Sweet Treats'!  I do hope you take a look and decide to participate and I do hope apples are considered a sweet treat, if not I bet there is some wonderful apple pie packed in there somewhere- I had thought the theme was 'food' - Oh well foolish me :O).  I used a Doodle Pantry August new release image called 'Picnic Ants' . Now ants at a picnic are never a desired companion but these guys are just having sooo much fun you have to forgive them!!  The sentiment is from an older Doodle Pantry stamp set and was framed with a Spellbinders die cut circle and a circle punch. This stamp set contains coloured images, outlines ,digital papers and sentiments. The die cut used to cut out the the image is from  Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Deckled Rectangles'.  I used  a Marianne Designs die cut for the butterfly and Stampin Up 's  'Square Lattice' embossing folder to provide background texture (also used it for the blue horizontal strip).  The final touches of   twine and blue rhinestones completed the card!

Back to School

I  need a few back to school cards  for some youngsters  in my extended family, so when I saw this darling image on another site I fell in love and bought the stamp!I know he has a grad hat on but I interpreted that as the goal not the present!! ( See Angels Creative World and Sassy and Southern  for the two inspirational examples that caught my eye ).   The stamp is by Digi Stamp 4 Joy and is called  'Book Worm'. I used Stampin Up card stock and coloured with Prismacolor Markers. The sentiment is mine and the embellishment is Recollections Epoxy Stickers. The background embossing folder is  Stampin Up's 'Stripes'. Pretty 'easy peasy' card and just what a second grade boy  would like, at least that is my take:O)!!

Peaches

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this weeks Operation Write Home sketch challenge  and a wonderful sketch it is!  I do hope you take a look and decide to participate.  I used a pre coloured  image from an older   Doodle Pantry  stamp set called 'Peaches and Huckleberries Col'. I love peaches, they are my absolute favourite fruit! It seems to me that they are less fuzzy than they used to be and not quite as juicy. This could just be all in my head or maybe in my older taste buds:O) The sentiment is from the same stamp set. This stamp set contains coloured images, outlines ,digital papers and sentiments. The die cuts used  to frame the peaches and the sentiment are Spellbinders Nestabilities. I used  a Memory Box die cut "Honeysuckle Vine for the vertical strip on the left..  The background was embossed with embossing folders for texture and interest .

I made a 5 1/4'' inch  square card   using the new release stamp set 'Lemons & Blueberries' and as you can see I choose the blueberries image to work with. Reason - blueberry picking season will soon be drawing to close where I live and thought a card in their honour was appropriate:O) Is there any berry pie that is as tasty as a blueberry one (well maybe a Saskatoon pie  composed of those wonderful berries we are picking now.
