Giraffe - LEJ Designs Challenge #51

Here is my DT card for LEJ Designs challenge #51 with the theme 'anything Goes'.  This card  features  a   digi from LEJ Designs called 'Giraffe 2' . Isn't that a wonderful image of a giraffe!    For this card I tried to create the hint of an African  sunset and kept the peripherals semi dark. Hope you like it!

CAS - Aged to Pear-fection

Isn't this image lovely. Laurie Wilson from Doodle Pantry  makes the most wonderful coloured digital images and the pear featured on my card is from a set called 'Pears and Raspberries Color Plus'. I imported the  pear image into Paint Net as a JPG and then brought in the same pear image as PNG and merged them together for the above result. So fun to do.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set! I also printed out two copies and  cut out the leaves and small flowers  and popped them up over the bottom image for dimension.To see everything included in this stamp set  go to the  following site at the  Doodle Pantry Shop! 

I'm trying to do CAS more often as I find them hard to do and am trying to hone my skills:O),  with this card  I am pleased with the results!

OWH - Just Because

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the OWH (Operations Write Home) challenge  (Apr. 21, 2013).  with  the theme of  'Sketch'.   I had a pre printed image in my  'to do'  bin  of these lovely flowers so decided to use them. The  Doodle Pantry  digital image is  from their  stamp set  called ' English Bluebells'!  Totally lovely! LEJ Designs DT Card - Fair Maiden

Here is my DT card for LEJ Designs challenge #49 with the theme 'Embossing'.  This card  features  a   digi from LEJ Designs called 'Fair Maiden' . I love this image and this is my second card using her.  Our challenge this week is to create a project using the technique of embossing. For this card I heat embossed the large background cardstock and dry embossed the vertical strip , the edges of the focal square and the foliage leaves!

Blueberry Mouse

I used a pre-coloured image from the  'Berry Nice Mice' stamp set (this is my second card using this newly released stamp and it can be found here). Here Kitty, Kitty

Here is my DT card for LEJ Designs challenge #47 with the theme ' My favourite Style'.  This card  features  a   digi from LEJ Designs called ' Here Kitty, Kitty' .  He doesn't look all that happy does he and look at those little fangs, you might not want to mess with him :o)! He reminded me of my son's  girl friend's cat , Popeye is his name and if he happens to not be happy with what you are doing, can turn on you  hissing and spitting and carrying on like a tiger.  Left to his own devices he would be the terror of the neighbourhood. My lovely sister looks after him whenever my son and his girlfriend come up to visit us and she puts up with all his antics. Thinking of giving the card to her with a case of bandages LOL.

I popped up the kitties head   for some more dimension. Oh and getting back to the theme, I love big bold flowers  & foliage  on my cards!
