Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #221- Explosion of Colour

Today's Crafty Cardmakers challenge is a fun one titled 'Explosion Of Colour'. Use your imagination and create, we would love to see your what you make. As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece,  some home decor as long as it meets the explosion of colour theme.

I used a clear stamp from Inkadinkado titled 'Birds Galore' and coloured it with Copics and Prismacolor Markers. I did add some glitter to the image but hard to see in the photo. The large flowers were hand punched and sponged with ink. The leaves were die cut. The paper came from a friend and I do not know the name of the paper stack.

It has gotten slightly warmer here in northern Alberta and most of the leaves are gone. Spent a day racking them up and I see I now have to go rake up what was left. Should be the last rake though. Fall is pretty till the leaves are gone and then everything looks so naked. Nothing left to look forward to except the white stuff which does give beauty back to the countryside. Have a great week everyone.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #220 Fairies and Mythical Creatures

Welcome to another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and Jackie is hosting today's challenge.

The theme of this weeks challenge is 'Fairies or other Mythical Creatures'.  As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece,  some home decor as long as it meets the fairies or other mythical creatures theme.

I decided to use this lovely digital stamp Fairy Child by Morgan Fitzsimmons.  Beautiful stamp and great to colour. The background paper is from a stamp pad titled  Razzell Dazzle I bought at Michaels about a year ago. The flower accessory is from my stash and the image was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers except for the flesh where I used Copics. I printed the stamp out twice, coloured and fussy cut the small digital image flowers from one image and overlayed them on the other.

It has been cold and miserable here in my part of Alberta,  this after a summer that was either really hot, with a sky completely covered with forest fire smoke from BC, or raining. I played horseshoes this summer at our family reunion in Montana USA under a sweltering 109-degree Fahrenheit temperature. All I could think of was cool-cold weather. Now I am complaining of that, so I guess there is no pleasing me 😊

Have a great week!

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #219 Lace or Ribbon

Kim is hosting the challenge this fortnight and the theme is Lace or Ribbon

As usual, anything you enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece, some home decor, as long as it meets the lace or ribbon criteria.

I had this gorgeous floral lace in my stash for a few years and this seemed the ideal time to use it. I loved it so much that I found it hard to use if you know what I mean. The image is 'Poppies' from Just Inklined,  and was coloured with Copic markers. The sentiment is from  Stampin' Up and I finished it off with rhinestones.
