Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #262 Things with Wings

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #262 Things with Wings

Mary is hosting today's challenge and the theme is Things with Wings!  As usual, anything you enter is fine, a card, a scrap layout, a mixed medium piece,  some home decor,  as long as it meets the 'thing with wings' theme.

The image is a Whimsy stamp titled Mariposa Digital Stamp by Sylvia Zet  I love Sylvia's images, they make such wonderful children cards. I  used Stampin' Up cardstock, circle die cuts, a banner punch, and a 'love' stamp. The pink cardstock was wet embossed.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #253 Spring

Welcome to Crafty Cardmakers challenge #253 Spring. As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece or some home decor. It must, however, meet the challenge theme.
                  Judy is hosting the challenge.

What can be more exciting than the coming of spring, new growth, rain instead of snow, higher temperatures, longer days!  I know all countries do not have to go through a massive change in temperature but ask my aching bones from shovelling snow for 5 months, slipping along sidewalks, dressing in multiple layers and walking the dog no matter what. Spring is always so welcome.  On another note this spring has brought us something different, please take care out there and stay safe.

OK on to better things:

 Card Details;
Die Cuts were used to create the flower, the bow, the butterfly, the small heart, the tag and the  double-layered  background circle

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #232 Dragons

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #232 Dragons.

Welcome to another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers. Lin is hosting today's challenge # 232
and the theme is 'Dragons and other Mystical Creatures'. It is St. George's day tomorrow, he died on  April 23rd in the year 303 so how appropriate to have the challenge in the same time frame.  If dragons are not your thing any mystical creature is welcomed. As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece,  some home decor as long as it meets the theme.

I chose a Whimsy digital stamp (Freddie) and tried to keep the layout somewhat CAS. I added a corner flower and made the lone flower dimensional. Prismacolor markers were used in the colouring of the image. I also added a punched zig-zaggy layer to the bottom of the card.

'tis the Season

Whimsy Stamps, Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Make it Crafty have joined together for a three company blog hop and challenge to celebrate their new releases this week. To catch all the fun go to the Three Company blog site.

Card recipe:
Make it Crafty:  Gift Way digital stamp
Little Miss Muffet: Saffron digital stamp
Whimsy Sentiment -ticket
I only had one Little Miss Muffet stamp and that was Saffron so I used her:O)

I merged the gift-way digital stamp with the Saffron stamp and obtained the above image of the girl (Saffron) standing in front of the presents and the way-signs. I stamped Warm and Wishes on the way sign and hand wrote 'winter' on the middle slat. Coloured the image with Prismacolor markers, added glitter glue to the snow on the sign and ground  and then to add interest to Saffron's hat and muff I used  white fuzzy flock . To finish the card off I added   flourishes from Marianne designs die cuts and a snowflake flower from Spellbinder die cuts. Punched out a few hearts to send some 'love' along the way.
