With Sympathy

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this weeks Craft Your Passion challenge with the theme of  '3D It   - 3 dimensional creation or decoupaged image'. I do hope you take a look and decide to participate!  I used an outline  image from the  'Holy Land Flowers 1' stamp set . This stamp set contains  outline images and sentiments.   I colored highlighted the flowers using Prismacolor markers. The flowers were made dimensional by cutting out the image and layering segments on top of the original (using foam tape). I added the layered butterflies to give additional depth to the card. I heat embossed the tan cardstock with a floral pattern  and scored the dark brown paper with my score pal.
Card details:
Stamp: Doodle Pantry Digital 'Holy Land Flowers 1' stamp set ; Stampin' Up 'Floral' background stamp
Sentiment: from same stamp set as image
Colour medium: Prismacolor Markers
Card stock:   Stampin' Up's vanilla, whisper white, early espresso,  and additional paper from  stash
Die Cuts: Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Labels Twenty-Two
Punch: Martha Stewart butterfly, Stampin' Up Modern label, photo corners
Embossing folder:  Swiss Dots
Other - Ribbon
Technique: dimensions -  both  the flowers and the butterflies have been layered and popped up: dry embossing, heat embossing, border sponging

  15. This is such a lovely Sympathy card. They are so hard to make at the time so it is always best to have a couple made up ahead!

This one is stunning...the embossed lines were a brilliant idea and the 3D arranging of the cut out image is great!
