Poppies

Crafty Cardmakers new challenge for this  fortnight is 'Summer'. You can  interpret this theme as you like as long as its based on something associated with the season.You can create anything you like, card, tags, etc as long as it meets the challenge and the 15 or less challenge entry rule.
My summer garden is  always blooming in poppies,glorious  yellow Icelandic, fluffy red annuals and towering red orange orientals. The yellows will grow all season long but the orientals have a brief few weeks and then they are gone with the odd one or two blooms appearing in the late summer.   I look forward to them every year.

This card is for a wonderful friend and close neighbour. The card is simplistic but I am pleased with how it turned out.

Christmas in July 2016 - Beach

Bugaboo Christmas in July 2016 day 6. Thursday Challenge Photo Inspiration. The photo was a beach scene so here is my take on it. IRL the Merry Christmas stands out a lot more than in the photo, now having said that I wish I had darkened it before gluing it down.  I could not find my brayer so I sponged the background, think it turned out OK.

Bugaboo Christmas in July Challenge #5 Humour Me Wednesday. I choose this little Penguin from Bugaboo called ' Poppi xmas Snowballs'  He looked slightly guilty (to me) so added a sentiment I thought suited it, just my little bit of humor :0)

Christmas in July Challenge 3 Tag It

Tag time over at Bugaboo's Christmas in July 2016  Challenge #3.. I used the Bugaboo image Christmas Mouse Mistletoe  and coloured her with Prisma Markers. I used   a Poppystamps die cut called 'Stitched Main Street Tags' to cut it out.. Actually cut two of them  out and taped them together  to give extra sturdiness.  The back side is stamped with  'For' and 'From'.  Punched a hole in the top and added some ribbon and  half pearls for the finished look. Must say it looks better IRL.

Christmas in July 2016 Eggbert

Another entry for the Bugaboo Christmas in July 2016  Challenge. Again a little late, oh well life is busy. This time I used "Eggbert' as my image. He is always adorable and can be found on the Bugaboo site. In real life the colour contrast is not near so identifiable as it is  on the picture I took. I used Tempting Turquoise for the border around the circle and it matched the coloured image's scarf quite nicely. Again 'Oh Well' :o)!
