Cowboy Birthday

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Incy Wincy Designs challenge starting Feb. 11, 2013 and the theme is 'texture'.I provided the texture by using lined cardstock paper and  dry embossing the paper behind the parchment. The twine finishes it off.  I used  several Doodle Pantry  digital stamp images from their  Feb.2013 release and merged them together to get the above image!  It is to me a very masculine image so the card reflects this in that is fairly non- adorned!  Totally male! I'm not so great at creating distressed edges, mine looks like a mouse was at  it :O)   I used distress ink to give the paper an older look

Valentine for Granddaughter

I think this is my last Valentine for 2013, at least that is the plan right now:O) This young lady was a freebie from Saturated Canary and I think she is marvellous. I was going to make the heart she is holding dimensional  but got lazy at the last moment. I did prop up the image frame with foam dots though!

Here is a cute little Valentine for a great nephew of mine and as he lives  in Eastern Canada I must  get this mailed today or there is no guarantee he will get it in time - thank you Canada post - they charge a small fortune and then ship it as a parcel and it takes twice as long to get there..... Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Sketch Saturday  challenge starting Feb. 2, 2013.    I used a Doodle Pantry  digital stamp set  called ' Cuddly Bear'!  Totally adorable! This is a older image from  Doodle Pantry but a favourite of mine.  The heart pin was a freebie from  Beyond the Fringe. I added the heart pin to the image by merging the two images together in PaintNet.
