Thanks Maddie

My husband has often hunted with friends up north and every time he goes  there their daughter gives up her bedroom for 'old man Gerry' as she has called him affectionately for years.  He asked me today to make up a thank-you card  and he would send her a little gift. She is now   in her teens and loves to hunt so I dressed the hunter image in pink when in actuality she wears regular hunting clothes, This weeks Bugaboo freebie was perfect for my card.. It was the least I could do as I love the meat and accept it gladly but I am no hunter!
Card Details:
Stamp: Bugaboo 'Nuts About  Hunting'
Sentiment: Stampin Up's thank you from their 'Because I care ' stamp set, the name hand printed
Colour Medium: Prismacolor Markers - got the idea to use pink on my hunter from a card on the Bugaboo site by Min Kwiatkowsli, see her card here,
Paper: Stampin' Up's 'Always Artichoke' Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette& whisper white' cardstock; DP Dollarama & DCWV 'The Pretty Princess' Stack; the 'hot pink' from a local card/paper store

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Sentimental Sundays challenge and the theme this week  is 'Dimensions'!   Challenge start date is Nov 4th, 2012. I used a Doodle Pantry  digital stamp set  called 'Winter Star'  This set contains coloured and outline images, digital papers and sentiments.   For this card I used the coloured image (printed the image twice and cut the second layer of the star out and 'popped' it up over-top of the first star).  Punched holes for the ribbon to go through it matching the ones punched in the box  and it becomes an overlap. The idea for this treat box came from my friend Dawn and was obtained  from the Splitcoast Stampers site and is called a 2-5-7-10 box.. Here is her beautiful treat box!
