Catch the Bug Challenge - Holiday Chaos - Day 6 - Photo Chllenge

Challenge Holiday Chaos  - Day 6 - Photo Challenge

Today is Day Six of the Catch the Bug challenge - Holiday Chaos - 2020 and the theme is a 'Photo Challenge'. I chose the reindeer, the child, and the colour red as my inspiration. The image I used is Bugaboo's  'Kidz Christmas Boy and His Dog'   The blue border card stock is  Stampin' Ups 'Pacific Point'  and the embossing folder is their 'Textured Impressions 'Square Lattice'.

Catch the Bug - Holiday Chaos Day Five - 2020 Make Us Laugh

I choose this delightful Bugaboo image titled  ''BUGSBCO1 Skinny Bird Candy Cane" as the image to use for day five of the annual Bugaboo  Catch the Bug  Holiday Chaos challenges. The day 5 Theme is Make  Us Laugh. I thought this long-legged delightful bird looked funny enough even without a sentiment but decided to use one anyway. Gives me a giggle.  He was coloured with COPICS and Prismacolor markers. The sentiment was made in WORD.

Catch the Bug - Holiday Chaos Reindeer Games Day Four - 2020 Bingo Challenge

Challenge: Holiday Chaos

The Day Four challenge is a  Bingo challenge and I used the line of "sentiment, die-cut, and Pearls' to create my card. The image  is Bugaboo's 'Kidz Reindeer' , coloured him with Copics markers and added some sparkle to the Christmas lights. I used white and blue colours to frame the image. Quite like the results.

Catch the Bug Day 3

Day 3 of the Catch the Bug annual Christmas challenge is ABC (Anything But a Card) day. I decided to make a Gift Card Holder.  I used Bugaboo's  'Three Square Tree' image and their  'Nobby Knees Christmas Joy'. I think both images are delightful. The middle of the holder displays a large snowflake and a slot to insert the gift card.

Challenges

Catch the Bug - Holiday Chaos Reindeer Games Day Two - 2020 Sketch Challenge

Challenge: Holiday Chaos

I love the sketch and decided to make another 'Blue' colour themed card. The three penguins are from Bugaboo and titled 'Bug Three Penguins' or  'Three Penguins'. Just love those big eyes! I coloured the penguins with Copics, the striped paper was from my stash - origin unknown, the three circles on said paper were punched out from Stampin' Up Pacific Point cardstock.  Pacific Point cardstock was also used to frame the card itself.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #265 Create a Tag

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #265 is to create a tag. I made the tag and then created a holder from a see-through business envelope. (see 'Window Envelope Tag Tutorial' by My Porch Prints). A fun project and something a little different (for me).

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #263 Recycled Element

Judy is hosting today's challenge, Recycled Element

As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece or home decor, as long as it meets the 'Recycled Element' theme.

This card is for a brother's birthday  I used two washers I found in the garage. I thought they would make a reasonable decoration on the card. I am pretty sure my brother will recognize them (know what they are). I darkened them with brown ink. The ribbon is from my stash and the three tickets are from another project. I also printed off a clock picture I found online, cut it out, reinforced the back, and adhered it to the card. The decorative circle between the two washers is from a Tim Holtz die set.

Paper: Stampin Up  Early Expresso,  light tan paper,
Dies: Sizzix Thinlets 661184
Sentiment: Stampin UP
Ribbon: Recollections 'Trim'

Hope this post finds everyone safe and happy. It has been a long haul and I cannot wait for things to return to normal (if there is such a thing). I totally dislike the mask yet realize it's importance, miss the visiting of friends and family from out of town, hate feeling like a criminal going down the wrong aisle, I just miss the normal!! Now having said all that I am happy, I am in good health and certainly wish to remain that way LOL.

A tri shutter wedding card for my niece, using the colours she had chosen (black, white and green) for her wedding. I love tri shutter cards but very seldom make them, but for this occasion, I thought it was an appropriate fold. I have had this card in my non published file for a while and decided this was a good time to post it.  The sentiment is a very old Lexi's Creations digital one I have had for many years.

ATG. As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece,  some home decor as long as it meets the 'Celebrations' theme.

I choose to celebrate a best friend who I have known since grade 9, oh so many years ago. I have made this card while in COVID-19 seclusion and sent it to her as a small attempt to bring some cheer during this Shut Down of 2020, a just because  card.

I used a die-cut for the black swirls and the frame of the burlap sentiment which came from an old paper pack. The tag came from my stash, origin unknown. The stamped words on the tag are from Stampin Ups 'Amazing You' and ' Express Yourself' stamp sets.

Have a great shut-in- day!

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #255 Green Album

Angela is hosting today's challenge with the theme 'Anything But A Card', therefore. anything you enter is fine, a scrap layout, mixed medium piece, or some home decor, as long as it is not a card.

I made this waterfall album for a dear friend and fellow crafter as a gift. The waterfall pages contain 'sayings', not pictures, some humorous, some not.  Had some trouble with the paper as I ran out of it and had to use my printer to print out enough to finish the project. Thanks be, my copier was up to the job and the colours remained true. Was pulling my hair out at time lol!

I chose a wonderful digital stamp from Beccy's Place for my Easter image. The flower die was a gift from a dear friend. Hope you like!

                  Judy is hosting the challenge.

What can be more exciting than the coming of spring, new growth, rain instead of snow, higher temperatures, longer days!  I know all countries do not have to go through a massive change in temperature but ask my aching bones from shovelling snow for 5 months, slipping along sidewalks, dressing in multiple layers and walking the dog no matter what. Spring is always so welcome.  On another note this spring has brought us something different, please take care out there and stay safe.

OK on to better things:

 Card Details;
Die Cuts were used to create the flower, the bow, the butterfly, the small heart, the tag and the  double-layered  background circle
