Sunflower


Doodle Pantry Specials for July:

New release, New Challenge 

RELEASE DATE - July 1st ,2012  It is July release  time over at Doodle Pantry   and Laurie has some wonderful new  digital stamp sets for sale  and  precoloured versions of some  older stamp sets. I used  one of  the  new stamp sets called  'Sunflower' .  The set comes in both an outline and pre-coloured version and with appropriate sentiments. Please go here to view them all!

CHALLENGE  DATE: July1st  1200 Noon EST-July24th 9:00 PM
There are changes this month  over at the Doodle Pantry challenge and the featured  image will be available from July 1st to 15th only. DPDC25 featured image is the Tiny Triceratops stamp set. Anyone can download it and use it to join the challenge. There will be two categories you can enter, one with the downloadable image and one for any other Doodle Pantry image. You can enter both categories if you wish for a chance to win twice. For all the details go to the Doodle Pantry Blog.

Card details:
Stamp: Doodle Pantry Digital Sunflower  stamp set 
Sentiment: from same stamp set as image
 Colour medium: Nil - used colour version
Design paper:   The Four Season Stack  by DCWV
Cardstock Stampin' Up 'Choclate Chip,Summer Sun and whisper white
Die Cuts: Spellbinders-standard circles and Marianne Designs   for the scalloped decorative circle ; Spellbinders Heartfelt Creations Belle Rose for the flourish -somewhat cut up and looks nothing like the original
Punches:  Marvy for sentiment small circle
Other:mini  beads for the center of the flower.
I made the flower dimensional by printing the picture twice & cutting one layer of the flower off and placing it over the other

  28. What a beautiful card Glenda! I love the dimension on the sunflower! I never think to do this but you have inspired me to give it a try. The great thing about sunflowers is that we can use them for either summer or fall themes with Operation Write Home. Thanks for the inspiration!

  29. Good wishes sent to you for the challenges as that is one great card. I don't usually like sunflowers but these are great. I think it is the shading that makes them so special.
