Catch the Bug Holiday Critter Chaos Day 4 2019

 

Bugaboo's  Holiday Critter Chaos continues at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  Day Four challenge is Tic-Tac-Toe: pick three in a row. I choose the corner to cornet line (bottom left to top right) and used Bugaboo's digital image titled  'ReindeerPeeker' as my 'free' choice. I punched and added three sparkly circles and a die-cut 'Christmas' word. I also added some sparkle to the trees. The ribbon is the two sparkly strands beneath the tree and sentiment.

Catch the Bug Holiday Critter Chaos Day Three 2019

Bugaboo's  Holiday Critter Chaos continues over at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. Day Three challenge is to create a project that is anything but a card.  I decided to create a Gift Card Holder and used a Bugaboo image titled 'Reindeer Blocks'. I added three punched out snowflakes and a ribbon for closure. The image can be found here.

I decorated the inside with a die-cut snowflake and a 'To From' stamp. There is a die-cut (hidden from your view)on the portion that holds the gift card.  It reads 'Let it Snow'.

Bugaboo Sunbonnet Miss Muffett

Bugaboo Sunbonnet Miss Muffett isn't she a cutie, so serene sitting on the stump smelling the flowers. She can be found over at the Bugaboo Stamps site.  I was inspired by Dawn Frost's designer card for the Catch the Bug challenge  'Stella Says Sketch' challenge #720. I recently bought a cloud stencil type thing and this is my first time using it. I really like it and should get better with time. Have a great day!

New challenge and one I quite enjoyed designing for.  I decided my card would be related to nature as I have been wanting to use this sentiment stamp. I have been surfing around the web and came upon some cards using this design and decided to give it a try. I used a clear stamp for the grain and butterflies that my friend had and loved the result.

I recently visited an old friend and decided to send her a thank you card for a wonderful day full of laughter and reminiscing!  I also wanted to try out this fold. I had a little help from another couple of friends re stamps and layout. Aren't friends the most wonderful things to have! I used magnets to keep the front banner closed. All in all, I am quite pleased with it AND I love learning new things (at least new to me)!

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #244 Halloween

Welcome to another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers. Kim is hosting today's challenge # 244

I used a wooden plague my late husband had made many years ago and painted it black.

The scene was created by cutting out a square piece of cardstock from the Recollections 'blackbird' collection (titled 'glowing orange'). I then adhered the spooky tree (Memory Box 'Grand Willow Tree'), the two paper bats (handmade) , the 2 black zigzaggy border trims ('Spooky Fence' by Cottage Cutz), then to finish it off the round 'moon'   created by cutting out the Spider Fang circle and the 31 from a page of Halloween images I found in my stash. I added half pearls just because.

A birthday card for my older brother. I wanted an image that would reflect the forest area where we grew up and this silhouette stamp seemed to meet the criteria. I must admit there was not a lot of moose seen back in the day as the forests hid a lot of the animals. The more the trees disappeared the more the wildlife was seen.

Bugaboo Christmas in July Thursday Challenge - Day 6- 2019 - Photo

Day 6 Thursday - Photo Inspiration - with the movie 'White Christmas' as the inspiration I chose the colour white as the main theme on my card and a very old black&white Bugaboo sentiment. (hope I am correct as the sentiment image was stored under Bugaboo on my computer, but I have misfiled before LOL!) .

I used an embossing folder for the large white background, a white lace strip placed horizontally and a larger two-layered vertical strip upon which placed some silver snowflakes.

Day 4 Tuesday- Bingo Challenge - with the movie pick of Elf

I used the wonderful Elf image from Bugaboo titled 'Deacon Candy Cane, coloured him with Copics and designed the card to fit the Bingo Challenge! I chose the vertical line  of Sparkle-Bugaboo Image-Sentiment. I added sparkle to the rim of the hat, the bells on the collar and the bell on the end of the hat. The round flakes of the white part of the round circle are also sparkly. Had a terrible time getting them to show up on the camera pictures.😃

Welcome to another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and Jo is hosting today's challenge.

The theme of this weeks challenge is 'Dies or Punches'.  As usual, anything you care to enter is fine, a card, scrap layout, mixed media piece,  some home decor as long as it meets the Dies or Punches theme.

I decided to do a wedding/anniversary type card in white, creamy  colours. This was not a good choice as it was practically impossible (for me) to take a presentable photo  (the frustration level was high lol!) and this was as good as it got. I do like the card though.

I used two flower border dies, two leaf dies and for the sentiment a small rectangular die.  The large flower was from a package bought at a local craft store.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #236 Anything but a Card. Angela is hosting today's challenge and anything you care to enter is fine as long as it meets the no card theme.




As you can see I chose to make a calendar-notepad holder. I wanted to make one back in January but could not find the calendar anywhere. I happened to be in a Dollar Tree the other day and right before me was one lone 2019 mini calendar, so of course, I bought it. I had to remove some months from the calendar but that's OK. (it now reads June lol!) Just a fun thing to make and I quite like it.

Card Details:
 I used Stampin' Up card stock, some designer paper, a mini calendar and a sticky note pad. The larger embellishment flowers were made from a jar of flower petals I found hidden in my stash. I punched some petals to which I added rhinestone centers and adhered them to the larger flower petals.  I added three more of the small punched petals for added interest and adhered them to die cut leaves I had glued to the background.
