Time for Bugaboo's 'Catch the Bug'  sketch challenge, and a wonderful sketch it is. My interpretation of the sketch is this  simple card made  easy by the wonderful image.   I coloured her with Prismacolor Markers.

Catch the Bug 'Recipe Challenge'

Oct 29th, 2016 - The Saturday Challenge  at Bugaboo's 'Catch the Bug' blog site is ' RECIPE and the recipe is: 3 buttons, border & fall colours. I choose the wonderful Bugaboo image called  Autumn Critter Stack 01. Aren't these critters adorable!  The image comes in both a coloured and non-coloured version. I choose the coloured image for my card.  I added three buttons from my stash, a Memory Box border die called 'Grape Vine', a Spellbinders Grommet Tag  for the sentiment  and some falling leaves obtained from the  Signature Dies set  called 'Ivy Corner'. I dry embossed a portion of the brown background with Stampin Up's  Square Lattice embossing folder.

Juggling Tiger

Outlaws Progressive Challenge October 2016; The image this month is this adorable little tiger image by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I made a little gift tag, coloured the image with Copics,added green embellishments for the circles and finished off with alphabet dies for the word 'hi'. Thursday OBG Challenge - Stella 'Over the Hill'

 Oldie but a Goodie day at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenge site. Always so much fun to find one of the older stamps and use it again. In my case I went way back to this wonderful image of 'Over the Hill' Stella. Gives me a giggle everytime I see it.  It must be the Halloween season  influence on my design because I showed it to a friend and she said "Oh a Halloween card". ''Nope" I said "but now that you mention it, I can see what you mean". We had a good laugh. So now I am thinking it would make  a wonderful October birthday card, who knew :O)!

Happy Halloween Sentiment- Bugaboo - NR

It is New Release  Day at Bugaboo Stamps and this is my card interpretation for their new adorable image called BUGHWEENSENT- Halloween Sentiment.. This wonderful image by Bugaboo Stamps is perfect for creating cards or projects for the younger 'trick & treaters'. It is not scary, just looks like fun and  both young and old can enjoy it.

You can check out the new release at Catch the Bug  and see other interpretations of this fab image. All new release images are 50% off for week of the new release. The little poem at the bottom right is not part of the set but a Rubbernecker (rubber)  stamp . The leaf accessory is an older rubber stamp from Stampin' Up called Autumn Splendor. I added a few more accessories  (ribbon & half pearls) to complete the card. The paper is all Stampin' UP.

Halloween Layout

#175 Things that go Bump in the Night: a new challenge at Crafty Cardmakers and  this time  we are asking for something Halloween. It does not have to be a card , it can be anything you want, just as long as it matches  the challenge theme. I choose to do a page  for my son's Halloween scrapbook. I decided quite a while ago to update his Halloween  scrapbook from  pictures pasted on some cardstock to something more  eye pleasing. In this case the only items retained from that page are the photo and the white ghost sentiment.. I am a little behind in this I must say!

The solid papers are Stampin' Up's and the Halloween paper is ??, (bought long ago and I cannot remember). The embellishments are also a happy  puzzle, all I know is the chipboard tag is from  a Graphics 45 tag package and the Halloween spider web border  is a Martha Stewart  punch ,

Spider Web Happy Halloween

   

 The challenge this Saturday over at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug challenges is "BINGO". Always a favourite of mine, takes some of the stress out of deciding what to create :O)! Did try to make it masculine to some degree (not required for the Bugaboo challenge).

I chose the bottom line - Sentiment, Halloween Theme &, Button for my card.

The stamp is titled 'Silhouette - Happy Halloween Circle' and contains both the sentiment and the image and captures the essence of the theme.

Bugaboo Anything But a Card - Halloween/Fall Trio

 ' Anything But a Card day at Bugaboo Stamp's 'Catch the Bug' Challenge' .   I spent Thanksgiving with  my two sisters and their families this year. First thanksgiving without my son  and second without my  late husband. . My son is  spending  this Thanksgiving with his wife's family. Only fair, I had him last year.We live in two different cities so may have passed him on highway lol!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness, is there anyone amongst us who has not dealt with breast cancer? It could have been your Grandmother, Mother, Aunt, cousin ,girlfriend or co-worker, even men can get  breast cancer. It is amongst us and it is a killer.  Be aware, be sure to have regular check ups!

Catch the Bug Challenge 'Oldie but a Goodie'

Time for the Thursday challenge 'OBG' over at Catch the Bug. I used their delightful digital stamp 'AKV Army Truck' which I think  is adorable. The recipient of this card had a great grandfather (recently passed) whose career was in the Canadian Armed Forces. I am sure he would have been delighted to see this card.

I kept the card pretty basic with just some twine and brown ribbon as accents. The sentiment is my own hand written one, and the  tag is from a MARVY punch.
I cut a cloud from  scrap paper to give the sky some interest. The image was coloured with pro markers and some copics. I used an embossing folder for the image background. called Seaside (Stampin UP Textured Impressions).

Old Guys Rule

Crafty Cardmakers new challenge for this  fortnight is 'Birthday'. You can create anything you like; card, tags, etc as long as it meets the challenge theme and you do NOT enter it into more than 15  other challenges. Have fun and create!

My choice was to create a card celebrating a 76th Birthday  with a wee bit of humour. The digital image is Old Buzzard from QKR Stampede and I coloured it with Prismacolor markers.  The sentiment was created in Word using the familiar Old Guys Rule saying. I added the twine, button, rhinestone and  brad as a finishing touch. The bare branch is a from a Memory Box  die titled 'Woodland Branch'.  Hope you like :O)!

Bugaboo Pig Cupcakes

I am so delighted to be a guest designer for Bugaboo Stamps for the months of October, November and December 2016.   'Tis' happy I am - Yipee!

This is my first creation in this  role and my image of choice was Bugaboo's  'Pig and Cupcakes'. I find this little guy totally adorable.

I incorporated  'autumn' colours into my card because I am starting to gear up for the season.  I love early fall, but not so keen about late fall. That is when the leaves are gone, the plants have shriveled up and the 'frost' is on the pumpkins, nothing ahead but cold and shovelling. :O( 

The die cuts used were Spellbinders standard circles and their inverted square. The two embossing folders are Textured Impressions and the banner is from La la Land.
