The Sea Mermaid

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge this fortnight is 'By or Under the Sea'.  The challenge is to create either an underwater or coastal/beach scene. I used a mermaid from the 'One Odd Girl' digital stamps collection and created a sponged  underwater background for her.

Girl with Flowers

Time for the Outlawz Freebie/Progressive Challenge and this month's freebie is'August'  by Andrea Norris from Sheepski Designs. A lovely image indeed! All the papers are Stampin' Up's' including the designer  paper (old  6x6 paper stack). The sentiment was created in 'Word' but is not my own, just a saying I happened to like. I used Copics to colour the image.  The flower was laying around in my stash.
I printed the image out twice, coloured one, cut it out and adhered it to the designer paper. On the second printed image I coloured a section of  the flowers, cut that out  and placed it on top of the adhered image.  Gave it a nice dimensional look.

Time

New challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers  and the theme is 'Time'.  There are various ways to interpret this and I choose to highlight 'time pieces' of days gone by and to give my card a bit of a vintage feel.

Stamp: Inkadinkado rubber stamp
Ink: Stampin' Up summer sun, chocolate chip  creamy carmel
Markers - Prisma Colour Light Tan, Sunburst yellow, yellow ochre

The two butterflies and the large pocket watch were made dimensional (printed out twice , coloured, cut out and mounted over the original stamp image)...
