This is a quick card made to thank a mystery shoveller who has helped dig me out of the last two big snowfalls. The thing is I'm not really sure who he is, as I go out to shovel and it is done, how marvelous is that! However I'm pretty sure I have it solved as a certain young lad was spotted doing something similar before! It also helped to observe only his house and mine were shovelled ! Pretty clever deducing eh ! He is a neighbourhood boy and lives just across the street (they are just the nicest family, the older son is a very close friend of my son , and I think his mother is just the most lovely lady). I am going to drop this off in their mailbox with a little gift! If you think the younger generation has gone to the dogs just think of this young man and know there are good ones out there!

Glenda, that is a great story! And your card is perfect for your mystery man. Lovin' those snow drifts - you've made them look so realistic! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely story. I once had a neighbour like that. It is so nice when you don't have to bundle up and face the elements to get that shovelling done.
ReplyDeleteGreat card and great story!
Ahhhh, I loved reading about your neighbor boy!! A random act of kindness is always appreciated! Such a sweet card too. Love your pops of black too.

What a wonderful neighbour you have!!
ReplyDeleteI love this card with all the red!!
You always make such wonderful cards Glenda. Great combination of elements and colors!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful card, Glenda and that will be so appreciated, I am sure. I love the red with the black and the image is perfect. You always pick just the right image. We in UK do not experience anything like your snowfalls of course (although cars had to be dug out last year)but the councils just don't seem to gear up for it at all! My area seems to stay colder and icier (higher probably) than even a few miles away but sometimes our roads just don't get cleared or even gritted for weeks. I remember when young my brothers and I used to love clearing the snow from paths and pavements and we always used to help out our neighbours. Most people cleared and that meant that the pavements were easier to walk on but now not only do people not seem to clear, if they do then they leave the cleared snow in the worst places possible!. lol Vee xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card Glendale I love the colour combination, always think it looks so dramatic. How heartwarming to read about your mystery helper! It restores your faith in the modern generation!!! Susan x
