Scarlet Paintbrush

My camera did not seem able to accurately capture the true beauty of this flower or focus it all that well either. Up here in Alberta we called it Indian Paintbrush although I have also heard it called prairie fire. As kids we assumed it was used  by the Indians to make  Indian war paint, but don't know if that was true or not!
