ATC Valentine and More


This all started with the making of the ATC card .The litlle ATC with the monkey image was so adorable I just had to make a home for it; a criss cross card seemed like a good place to start.  The ATC was then too small for the 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inch card (rats - should have made a smaller card I guess).  Solution; make a little tag from left over scrapes and  put them all together in the criss cross card.   Now I just have to find a permanent home for the trio. Hmmmm!
Challenges:
Bugaboo: create an ATC  quote ' a miniature work of art, a single-sided canvas of only 2.5" x 3.5" (about the size of a baseball card). The challenge is to make a card front, but on a smaller scale. . . ;)'
Craft Your days Away: Love
Creative Belli - Letter P and use old or forgotten embellishments. I chose the colour PINK and my two tiered hearts (the pink and red ones with the little pink pearls) were made about a year ago (maybe more) and have sat forgotten in a stash box.
 Fab and Funky:  Delight in your Digi, and my little girl is a digital from Bugaboo
Southern Girls : Dry Embossing the red sides of the card is dry embossed
Delicious Doodles: use stripes or spots  - I used spots
Delightful Challenges: Have a Heart- put hearts on your card or projects.
Creative Craft World: Cute and Cuddly
Spoonful of Sugar: Valentine

Details:
Stamp: Bugaboo digital 'Sock Monkey Love'
Markers: Prismacolours
Cardstock : Pink Pirouette, Ruby red by Stampin Up , Dp paper ??
Ribbon: Michaels
Punches: large heart 'Scalloped Heart of  Hearts' from Stampin Up and the smaller hearts are from a punch bought at Michaels, cannot find a name brand on it; MS branch punch
Other: Crystal Effects used on head ribbon and bow and the monkeys little heart> Added pearls, and a red rose flower
                                      
The ATC is based on last weeks challenge #202  at CPS- I was too late to enter:(

Update Feb. 6th,2011 -- I won the 2nd spot of the top three award from Bugaboo - woo hoo!! Super!!!

    LOL I love that "Rats"! I do that all the time, make something too big or too small. He is adorable and I love your criss-cross card! Love your border punch that you can't find the name of!

    Glenda, this is TOO cute. I love the monkey image with all the festive Valentine red! Great idea for the criss cross card too...sorry the sizes didn't work out. Great job combining all of those challenges. Thanks for making Catch the Bug one of them!
