Romance Card

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the 2 Sisters Challenge ( Feb. 23, 2013).  with  the theme of  'Romance'. I could only come up with a flower card but I hope it can be viewed as romantic.  I used a Doodle Pantry  digital stamp set  called ' Trumpet Vine'!  Totally lovely! This is a older image from  Doodle Pantry but a gorgeous one.  The Butterfly is a die cut as are the leaves under the flower. The flower is a gift I received from a fellow crafter who sent them to me as RAK ( Thanks Di). I had mentioned on one person's blog I envied her  all her flowers and this kind wonderful lady read the comment and sent me a whole pile of them. Isn't that just the nicest thing. I was totally blown away   and I fully plan to pass this RAK along, not sure what it will be but I will do it.

Dolphin's Hello - CAS

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the 'Send A Smile 4 Kids' challenge starting Feb. 16, 2013 and the theme is 'CAS'. I'm sure you can't get anymore CAS than this or the card would just have the little hello on it! I need to make more of these so I know what I'm doing, they are extremely difficult and my hat off  those who do them so well!!  I used a precoloured Doodle Pantry  digital stamp  from their   Feb.2013 release called most appropriately "Dolphin'.  I used the same image, making one  smaller than the other and merged the two  together to get the above image. I printed out two copies and cut out the smaller dolphin on one  copy and popped it up over the baby image on the other  to get additional depth!

It's a Girl

My niece and her husband just had a baby girl, their first child and I am so  happy for them and have  put together this little card to celebrate the occasion. It will be off in the mail shortly! I used  a Mo Manning digital stamp called 'Spit Happens', made my own sentiment,added a few bought flowers, made a little bow, added a few embellishments and it was done.

Cowboy Birthday

The twine finishes it off.  I used  several Doodle Pantry  digital stamp images from their  Feb.2013 release and merged them together to get the above image!  It is to me a very masculine image so the card reflects this in that is fairly non- adorned!  Totally male! I'm not so great at creating distressed edges, mine looks like a mouse was at  it :O)   I used distress ink to give the paper an older look
