I chose the Daffodil from the Daffodil and Sweet Pea stamp set released April 20th,2011
The daffodil to me is a an early sign of spring, not as early as a crocus, but early. I also think of the daffodil as an Easter flower or the Easter lily ( althought they are not quite the same - Lilies are Lilium, daffodils are Narcissus), I made the card thinking of it as the Easter Lily...

Card Details:
Digital Stamp: Doodle pantry Daffodil and Sweet Pea stamp set
Die Cuts: the large yellow circle is from Marianne Designs as is the white flourish, all others are Spellbinders Nestabilities
Punch: The yellow flower is handmade from a Fiskars Punch (the two large pointed petals) and the smaller petals are from Marvy 1/2 " and 1" daisy punches. The branches are from two MS punches.
Note: I made the yellow strip border on the left hand side from a border punch I bought at Michaels, it has no brand on it. I punched one die on a strip of paper I had cut and then punched the other side by not lining them up to match but slightly off to give the zig zag pattern.
Markers: Prismacolors
Other: buttons from my Mother's old button collection and the doily from my stash
Speaking of buttons I left the button on the flower with no string as, well I forgot and it would have wrecked the flower to take it off and well.......:D
Daffodil: It is native to southern Europe but naturalized elsewhere.
Oh my.....This is just stunning. i love the little handmade flower on the side.
