The man in my life is my friend of 34yrs and husband of 29 of them!   He is a very outdoors person, loves the forest immensely and has hunted in them since he was 12 yrs old.  He comes alive every fall as the days shorten and cool , the birds head south and the 'rut' begins. It is his time of year and I become a hunter's widow, I call it my 'crafting time':O)!

Colour medium: stamped image with versa-mark and used Stampin Up 'Early Espresso' embossing powder to heat emboss the moose and give it it's colour

Technique: heat/wet embossing using background stamps and the moose stamp. The heat embossing on the moose  looked great IRL but I could not take a decent picture of it and I tried everything from outdoor light to a picture box. I ended up digitally enhancing the colouring of the moose to make it presentable to post.

Here is a card using a wonderful image from Lacy Sunshine!  I know ladybugs are red and black and mine are not, but I was in a green frame of mind when I started this card and  red just didn't seem to go well with my shade of green. I have used two of the images from the Doodle Pantry digital stamp set 'Doggies and Things'. This digital stamp set has doggy images and accessories (coloured and non coloured), digital papers  (solid and patterned), and sentiments!   I picked the fire hydrant as my accessory. The foot print is from another  company's stamp set (company unknown) and the sentiment is a G K Designs  image from their 'Hope Grows' cling vinyl stamp set. I dry embossed the background DP and then sanded the embossing  slightly to create a more visible texture.  A bit of  a hodgepodge going on here!

Bird Easel Card

I haven't made a round easel card for quite awhile and thoroughly enjoyed making this one. It was my turn to pick the challenge at our weekly Stamping Buddies get together and I chose  the  round easel card. The beautiful bird image is from GK Designs and is by 'Theresa Momber'.  Lovely  isn't it!

Butterfly in Flight

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this weeks Send a Smile for Kids challenge  and the theme is 'Mother's Day '!  I do hope you take a look and decide to participate. I choose to make my own rolled roses (instructions are all over the place on YouTube and on the web, just  'google it' :O)!  I used a Doodle Pantry pre-coloured image called 'New Butterfly' for the image and sentiment . This stamp set contains coloured images, outlines ,digital papers and sentiments.  The sentiment was framed with a Spellbinders die cut  called deckled rectangles. The other die cuts used were : Cottage Cutz 'Bella Leafy Branch and , Magnolis Dragonflies Doohickeys. The blue background was stamped  with Impression-Obsession's 'Cover a Card Butterflies'and heat embossed to create a spring type background!

 All papers were Stampin' Up's'.
